Colter, an ex Army Ranger intent on hunting down the drug cartel members responsible for the death of his team in Afghanistan, ultimately finds himself in one of the bloodiest towns on the Texas-Mexico border. His resolve falters, however, when a 10 year old Mexican street kid, orphaned crossing the Rio Grande into the U.S., enters his world. With his last quarry in his sights, Colter finds he must choose between his growing attachment to the boy and his consuming need for revenge. With the 1200 mile Texas-Mexican border as a backdrop, The Colter Chronicles delves into the historic, often violent relationship that exists between Mexicans and Americans as the weakened Mexican economy, NAFTA, and the escalating drug trafficking take their toll. Based primarily in Laredo, the most violent of the Texas border towns, this action-packed film pits Colter and young Juanito against Mexican drug cartels, coyotes, illegals, and - on the other side of the border - the Minutemen, fanatical militants, and the local posse headed up by 'Killer Dave Weaver', a local rancher and Colter's sadistic nemesis.
