All dragons lived in darkness until the first Dragon Knight taught them light. For centuries after, a balance endured between magic and logic. But when balance is shattered, a new evil threatens to end the world. Magic begins to fail and the dragons are called back into darkness. The world's four magical elements: Carolinus, Mizugami, Solaria and Ommadon, meet to reset the balance, yet Ommadon's hunger for power propels him to cast the world of men and the world of magic into a battle neither will survive.
